In Salesforce IT Infrastructure, we leveraged emails and forms to deliver Infrastructure Services. This was very slow and manual, so we leveraged the App Cloud to create a catalog of Services you can order, as well as leveraging Force.com and Apex for the automation of Virtual Machine provisioning.
